NEW CLASS:
Friday, June 13: The "Top Ten Tax Issues That All Small Businesses Need to Know About"

Prof. Howard BusbeeProfessor Howard Busbee teaches accounting at William & Mary's Mason School of Business. During his time as a Big Eight accountant, he identified ten critical tax issues for small businesses. This short course will review these Top Ten Tax Issues for Privately Held Businesses.

The discussion will cover such issues as how to recognize tax planning opportunities, stock elections, employee compensation issues and traps, closely held corporation issues (and more traps!), business entity choices, estate and financial planning including succession planning, and other important subjects. There will be copious hand-outs to help you understand and to provide references for the many complexities of small business tax issues.

This is a course that ALL small business owners should take!

The Business Outreach Program is the result of a partnership among The Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance, The College of William & Mary's Technology and Business Center, and The Historic Triangle Economic Development Partners (City of Williamsburg, James City County, York County).
