Application Process

Thank you for your interest in CLS! Based on the enthusiasm and positive feedback from the first CLS class, we believe this program will be a rewarding and beneficial experience. This is a unique opportunity for both long time and new residents in the Williamsburg area to learn about local government and volunteer organizations that serve the Historic Triangle. The application process involves completion of the attached form and a personal interview. We look forward to meeting you!

2. The dates and times for this course are below. For the best experience and the integrity of the program, participants are expected to attend all sessions.

January 8 - 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Orientation

January 17 - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Class Retreat
5:30 pm to 7:00 pm Reception - guests welcome

April 1 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Graduation

February 5 through March 25 - Class sessions each Tuesday 9:00 am until 4:00 pm

3. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to classes. If transportation is required as part of the class experience, arrangements will be made either for car pools or for group transportation. Lunch will be provided at each session.

4. Successful applicants will receive a bill for tuition in the amount of $450.00. This covers all program costs, and will be due by December 15, 2007.
