James City County Comprehensive Plan RevisionThe Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance would like to be an effective participant in the development of comprehensive plans for its three municipalities (Williamsburg, James City County and York County).James City County's Comprehensive Plan process is currently underway and provides an opportunity for the Alliance to represent the views of the business and tourism community by harnessing the collective power of its members; and to be an effective partner in achieving broader goals. It also lays the groundwork for the Alliance to play a significant role in 2010 when all three municipalities will conduct simultaneous comprehensive planning. Therefore, the Alliance has established a Comprehensive Plan Task Force to accomplish the following:
> Follow the progress of comprehensive plan discussions and share appropriate information within the Alliance
> Formulate pros and cons related to areas of primary consideration, as determined by the Task Force
> Recommend Alliance positions to the Executive Committee
We will periodically provide updates on the progress of the Task Force and have included links for more information: Alliance Task Force Links
