The Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance would like to be an effective participant in the development of comprehensive plans for its three municipalities (Williamsburg, James City County and York County).
James City County's Comprehensive Plan process is currently underway and provides an opportunity for the Alliance to represent the views of the business and tourism community by harnessing the collective power of its members; and to be an effective partner in achieving broader goals.
It also lays the groundwork for the Alliance to play a significant role in 2010 when all three municipalities will conduct simultaneous comprehensive planning.
Therefore, the Alliance has established a Comprehensive Plan Task Force to accomplish the following:
