New Year's Eve Party at The Trellis Restaurant

Williamsburg’s finest New Year’s Eve party is back! We know those of you that attended last year have been waiting anxiously for this amazing event, and those of you that missed it have been anticipating the 2011 details so that you don’t miss out again! This year’s celebration will start at 8:30 PM with a delicious specialty beverage to whet your appetite for fun. Chef David Everett will then thrill guests with a five course sit-down dinner. The evening will continue with dancing to music performed by Williamsburg’s own fantastic jazz group, “Limelight.” Bring in the new year fabulously with a champagne toast and dancing until 1 AM. The Night the Animals Spoke
Included in all Historic Area admission passes.

Through this interactive program, guests explore the significance of two very different moral lessons drawn from the same Christmas tale told from two contrasting perspectives—that of a plantation mistress, and that of a member of the enslaved community.

A Kid's Holiday Memories Tour
Separate tickets required with any Historic Area admission pass. Cost: adults and youth, $15; children under 6, $7.50.

This exclusive daytime tour includes a visit with a colonial character, making holiday decorations, and various colonial games with a trained costumed guide. Most of the activities take place on the original George Wythe property, but families also explore part of the Historic Area with their guide and discover answers to questions about a real colonial Christmas. Each child receives a bag to hold their itinerary and decoration as well as any other treasures they acquire. Children must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. This 90-minute tour leaves every 20 minutes from 9:20 through 11 a.m. Recommended for children ages 6 through 12. Reservations or additional tickets required. Virginia Living Museum - Dec. 31 Noon Year’s Eve Day
Event Website

The whole family can enjoy this daytime New Year’s celebration at the Virginia Living Museum. Meet special animal friends from the Teeny Tiny Farm. Celebrate New Year’s at noon with a special guest. Meet Bubbles the Clown. There will also be games, crafts and other fun activities.$10 in advance, $12 at the door for all special activities. Non-members also pay museum admission.
