Walk and Talk: Remembering the Forgotten Event Website New Quarter Park remembers its roots on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. until noon when African-American historian Robert Watson will lead a Walk and Talk: Remembering the Forgotten. Watson will remember the slaves who toiled on the land when New Quarter was an outlying farm attached to Carter’s Grove plantation. The program will be held on a bluff where archeologists have uncovered a pre-1750 structure that was probably part of the farm overseer’s house.
