Fly with Ease at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport
The Historic Triangle’s closest commercial airport, the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (NNWIA) is located off of I-64 at exit 255B. Convenient interstate access makes the airport the premiere choice when traveling to or from Virginia’s peninsula for business or pleasure. NNWIA is currently served by three major airlines; AirTran Airways, Delta Air Lines and US Airways. AirTran serves the market with non-stop flights to NY-LaGuardia, Boston, Atlanta and Orlando. US Airways currently flies non-stop to Philadelphia and Charlotte, while Delta flies non-stop to Atlanta connecting passengers all over the country and the world! The airport offers many conveniences for the traveling public to help make their journey safe, affordable and easy. Free parking lot shuttles escort passengers to and from their cars in nearby lots to the main terminal building; skycaps assist and greet passengers at the curb to help with luggage, wheel chairs and other needs as they arise. The airport also offers free baggage carts, low daily parking rates and a friendly welcome center to assist passengers and answer questions. In an effort to continue to expand to meet passengers’ needs, construction of a new $13.5 million concourse is currently underway. This additional concourse will open in the spring of 2010. The concourse will house six additional gates at the airport, bringing the total number of gates to 12.
