Museums & the Arts

There are many cultural and historic sites to explore and enjoy in Greater Williamsburg.   In addition to the museums, art galleries, theatres, and music venues, the region hosts many festivals and events. 

Sponsored by the Colonial Williamsburg, Foundation, the City of Williamsburg and the College of William & Mary, Festival Williamsburg is held annually as the three-day finale for the Virginia Arts Festival season.  The College also sponsors plays, concerts, dance performances, and lecture series that are open to the public at William & Mary Hall and Phi Beta Kappa Hall. 

The Williamsburg Area Arts Commission maintains a calendar of events and performances year-round.
