Naomi Flythe

Started working at the Alliance in August 2010

Naomi is a native of Toano. Upon graduating from James Blair High School , she pursued an education at West Virginia State College in Charleston, West Virginia.  After attending West Virginia State she decided to return to Williamsburg where she began her career at Colonial Williamsburg.  After leaving Colonial Williamsburg Naomi join the Chamber staff as a service Representative.

As Service Representative she greets all guests, answers phones, book meeting rooms, and her most exciting and challenging task is to help organize the GWCTA Annual Christmas Parade.  Naomi’s outside interest is reaching out to women.  In her spare time she visit’s the sick and elderly and she attends several different bible studies.  Naomi is the Executive Director “Time Out!” Outreach Ministry which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. “Time Out!” meets in 13 churches throughout  Williamsburg, Newport News and Charles City County with two adjunct churches in Maryland.

Naomi’s strengths are strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Shes uses these strength both at work and in her outside interests. 

What’s the best part about working at the Alliance?
“Meeting great people. She gets to meet and talk to guests from all over the world, she loves interacting with the chamber members and business partners on the job as well as joining them for other Chamber sponsored events.”

What was your first job ever?
“During summer vacation when I was 15 I got a job at the  Woolco Department Store as a cashier.”

“I would not allow evil in the world.  Everyone would choose to do good and their only concern would be the welfare of others.”
